The Certificate Course on AI for Public Good is an 8-week, live, online programme that explores how Artificial Intelligence and emerging digital technologies are impacting governance, the economy, and society, with real-world impact across sectors.
The course is designed for learners seeking to explore tech adoption and development across sectors, showing how governments, institutions, and citizens can responsibly adopt AI while upholding ethics, inclusion, and accountability.
Through sessions led by policymakers, technologists, and researchers, who are real world AI practitioners, participants will explore the regulatory, ethical, and societal implications of AI while understanding how it is reshaping critical sectors through innovation, inclusion, and efficiency.
The course addresses how AI is transforming critical sectors by enhancing innovation and efficiency, while balancing it with inclusion by confronting the challenges of bias, misinformation, and privacy.

Understanding ethical principles for AI; focusing on fairness, transparency,
accountability, and inclusion in both design and decision-making.

Exploring policy frameworks, regulatory mechanisms, and governance models
that enable safe, transparent, and trustworthy AI deployment fuelling sectoral
innovation and its impact across India.

Examining how AI is shaping labour markets, education, public services,
access, inclusion, and broader societal transitions.
Course Structure
Duration: 8 weekends
Format: Online sessions on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings
Workload: Approximately.3-4 hours per week
Assessment
Short assignments reviewed by mentors, with feedback to deepen conceptual understanding.

Applicants should be pursuing or have completed an undergraduate degree. Open to learners from all academic backgrounds.
